Several special days are marked through the year. Valentine's Day falls on 14 February and is when people who love each other exchange cards and gifts. Some people send anonymous cards to someone they admire.
April Fool's Day is on 1 April. It is a day for playing tricks and jokes on other people, but only until midday, after which the joking is supposed to stop. Mothering Sunday, also called Mother's Day, is the Sunday three weeks before Easter, when people thank their mothers. So for this topic, remember Valentine's Day on 14 February, April Fool's jokes lasting only until midday, and Mothering Sunday falling three weeks before Easter.
