Rugby began in England in the early 19th century and is very popular across the UK today. There are two different types of the game, rugby union and rugby league, which have different rules and are played by separate teams and competitions.
The most famous rugby union competition is the Six Nations Championship, played between England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France and Italy. In rugby league, the best-known club competition is the Super League. So for this topic, remember that the two types of rugby are union and league, that the Six Nations is the famous rugby union tournament, and that rugby itself began in England.
