Patron saints' days

Study note

Each nation of the UK has a patron saint with a national day: St David for Wales (1 March), St Patrick for Northern Ireland (17 March), St George for England (23 April), and St Andrew for Scotland (30 November). Only Scotland and Northern Ireland have their patron saint's day as an official public holiday.

Memory tip: David (1 Mar), Patrick (17 Mar), George (23 Apr), Andrew (30 Nov).
