Famous UK landscapes

The UK has many famous natural landscapes. The Lake District, in the north-west of England, is the country's largest national park and is known for its mountains and lakes. Its biggest lake is Windermere, and the area is a very popular place for walking and sightseeing.

In Scotland, Loch Lomond lies near the Trossachs and is the largest area of fresh water in mainland Britain. Together with the Trossachs it forms a national park. So for this topic remember the Lake District, with Windermere, as England's largest national park, and Loch Lomond as the largest stretch of fresh water on the British mainland.
