Many British athletes have won Olympic and Paralympic medals in recent years. Sir Chris Hoy is a Scottish cyclist who has won six Olympic gold medals on the track. Mo Farah, who was born in Somalia and came to the UK as a child, won gold in both the 5,000 and 10,000 metres at the 2012 Olympics.
